Lake Glenbawn Holiday Cottages, Scone, New South Wales, Australia - Information about the property.
Lake Glenbawn Holiday Cottages are located on their own 22 acres of rolling lawns & the property is adjacent to the State Park entrance. Large balconies are a feature of the cottages and plenty of secure parking for cars and boats is available. Free gas barbecues are located centrally within the cottage area and many more are available throughout the extensive picnic grounds on both sides of the lake.
Each of the ten large family style cottages sleeps a maximum of 6 people in three spacious bedrooms - featuring a queen size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in each of the other two bedrooms, each is fitted with a doona, pillows and blankets. Fully self-contained, the kitchens are equipped with family sized fridge, stove, oven, microwave, electric fry pan, hot water jug, crockery and cutlery.
Your own linen is the only household item you need to bring, however, linen packs can be supplied for a small fee if requested.
All cottages have 2 or 3-way bathrooms. Laundries contain an automatic washing machine. A big air-conditioned living room with T.V. and a separate dining area makes for comfortable, spacious living when relaxing after a busy day on the lake or touring the valley.

- Living areas contain a TV, DVD player, games, books and a CD player.
- Polished timber floors throughout. Tiled wet areas.
- Gas BBQ.
- All beds have pillows, a doona with doona cover and blankets. Please note: You must BYO sheets, pillow cases, towels, bath mats and tea towels. Linen packs can be supplied at an additional cost.
- Bathrooms are either 2-way or 3-way.
- Laundry contains an automatic Washing machine and an iron.
- Plenty of secure parking for 4WDs, cars and boats.
Other Activities
- Water Skiing - Lake Glenbawn is a popular venue for water skiers from all over NSW. The 20 Kilometres of clean, sheltered and unpolluted waterway is uncrowded, and mountain fresh. Good concrete boat ramp and plenty of trailer parking.
- Bush walking - Many short and pretty walks around the Holiday Cottages property and the State Park or intermediate walks into the foothills and around the lake foreshores. For the more serious bush walkers, it's only a short drive to the "Polblue" tracks into and around the Barrington Range and Scone's famous Burning Mountain.
- Lake Glenbawn State Park - (adjacent to the Holiday Cottages) covers a large area of the Eastern and Southern foreshores and offers excellent amenities including a kiosk, boat hire, wide concrete boat ramp, extensive picnic and barbecue areas and tennis courts. Entry to the Park is free for Holiday Cottage guests.
- Kangaroos/Wildlife - Lake Glenbawn State Park is home to thousands of Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Wallabies. There is probably no better place in Australia to see mobs of Kangaroos at close quarters when they congregate at the lake foreshores and around the Holiday Cottages in the early morning or late evening.
- Valley and Mountain Touring - Convenient to the vineyards of the Upper Hunter Region, Scone's beautiful horse stud country, and ever popular Barrington Tops mountain range. The Holiday Cottages is an ideal central accommodation point for touring the mountains or the scenic Hunter Valley.
- Tennis - The State park offers two excellent all weather tennis courts, located adjacent to the Holiday Cottages. Tennis racquets can be borrowed from the Holiday Cottages Office.
